The WVU Baseball Biomechanics and Performance Center is a new, ground-up facility designed to support advanced player development, performance analysis, and sports science research for the WVU Baseball program. The approximately 8,200-square-foot building was planned around the integration of highly specialized performance technology, allowing the architecture, training spaces, and support areas to work together as one comprehensive player-development environment.
The facility incorporates advanced systems including motion capture technology, high-speed cameras, force plates, Trackman, and other data-analysis equipment used to evaluate player movement, mechanics, and overall performance. Spaces within the building were designed specifically to accommodate this technology while providing coaches, athletes, researchers, and students with flexible areas for testing, training, analysis, and collaboration.
In addition to serving the daily needs of the WVU Baseball program, the center provides opportunities for collaboration with the WVU School of Sport Sciences, connecting applied research and education with collegiate athletics. The completed facility creates a modern, technology-driven environment that supports player development, performance evaluation, research, and innovation while providing WVU Baseball with a unique resource for both current student-athletes and future recruiting.
